Mystery Solved

Well, I have figured out why Miller did not get upset when Woody's leg broke off.  Murray's mom got Toy Story 2 for the kids at the lake and Miller saw it for the first time last weekend while Ella, Sara Wells and I were in Knoxville.  Miller saw it for the first time, second time and probably third or fourth time too.  Pretty much whatever Miller said he wanted to do Murray said ok.  As a result, Miller now loves Toy Story 2.  We came down to the lake Thursday evening for Labor Day Weekend and the first thing Ella and I did was watch Toy Story 2 with Miller.  About 5 minutes into the movie I realized why Miller was not heartbroken over Woody's broken leg.  In the movie, Woody's arm rips and Andy says, "it's ok, it's ok."  And that was exactly Miller's response.  So, thank you Toy Story 2 for teaching kids that toys are still just as fun if and arm or a leg breaks off!!!

The kids start back to school on Wednesday, Ella in 4-K and Miller is going to pre-school for the first time!  (I cannot believe he is already going to preschool!)  I have been trying to enjoy our last days of summer together, and since it has been so pretty outside, we have been spending a lot of time outside.  Here are a couple of last pictures from summer.

Picnic at the Park
Raising the bike seat is a very serious job!  Miller had to have his work gloves on to complete the project.

If you have been following our garden saga at all, you know that a few weeks ago, just as our okra plants were really starting to produce, the deer ate almost half of the plants.  But I did not totally loose hope because we still had about 3 or 4 good plants producing.  However, Murray went outside the other day and realized that during a rainstorm the deer completed their job of destroying our okra plants.  So sad!  Next year we are going to have to get creative in how to keep the deer away because I am not giving up dream of having a garden full of okra!
