SEVEN!

It is hard to believe that this little munchkin
Ella at her Two Year old birthday part
turned 7 years old this weekend!
And oh what a Birthday Weekend it was!
We started the birthday celebration Thursday morning with chocolate chip muffins.
Then Ella had to go to school:(  But that did not stop the birthday celebration.  Murray lead the entire school cafeteria in singing Happy Birthday to Ella.  I don't think the cafeteria will ever be the same.

Miller and Sara Wells were thrilled to have Ella back home for the rest of her birthday celebration.
Her smile here says it all!
The Irish Dancing doll dress was just the icing on the cake.
But the weekend was not all about Birthday celebrations.
Sara Wells had her Spring Performance Friday morning.
This performance were not there just to cheer on one of the Lee Kids,
we had cousins to cheer for too!
After the Little Love Bugs performance, we all headed back to Ella's school for the talent show.
Ella had the whole audience clapping along with her as she danced.  I could not believe she got up on that stage by herself and danced in front of all her friends.  But I don't think she ever even got nervous! Look at that cute little dancer on that big, big stage!  Ella felt right at home performing for an audience!
After two soccer games, it was finally time for the much anticipated Tie Dye Birthday Party
We could not have asked for a more perfect day to be outside tie dying t-shirts.
Everyone had a blast.
And surprisingly, there was very little chaos and very little mess!
Sara Wells was not about to be left out of the tie-dye action.
Nor was Daddy!

What would a tie-dye birthday party be without a tie-dye birthday cake!
Of course Ella (and all the girls) thought the cake was the coolest thing ever!  Which made me so happy to see her so happy!  (fyi, this cake is very easy to make!)
Oh our sweet 7 year old!  My how the time has flown.  Ella you make all of our days brighter!

 Happy Birthday my love!

Soccer

Saturday was a big day at the Lee House.
Soccer started.
But not just for Ella,
Miller started playing Soccer!!!
I cannot tell you how incredible it was to be at a soccer game for Miller and watch him run up and down the field for 45 minutes.
This time last year, I would never have believed you if you told me Miller would be playing soccer in a year.

Miller has gone to so many soccer practices and games just to watch and had such a great attitude the entire time.
He has never one time complained that he has not been able to play soccer (or any other sport).
Everyone told us Miller would outgrow his asthma.  After all we have been through, I really doubted that he would outgrow it.  His asthma is not totally gone, but he is a different child!  When he does have a flare up, he needs his nebulizer for 4 maybe 5 days instead of 2 to 3 weeks.
The time has finally come that we all get to sit on the sidelines and watch MILLER play soccer.
Miller even had his own cheering section at his first game.
As excited as Miller was before, during and after the game, I see many many more games in our future!

Easter Weekend

I hope you had a blessed Easter weekend.

Our weekend was filled with family and fun!
Last minute Easter Egg dying.
Which the kids did not notice was last minute.
They were just excited to have colorful eggs for their baskets.
(I bought this really cool marbling Easter Egg dye that I knew the kids would love, probably Wednesday or Thursday, and could not find it, or the candy for the Easter Egg Hunt.  Thank goodness I bought an extra dye kit last year and then actually hung onto it!)
At the last minute I finished the Easter dresses.  (Ironed Easter morning)
When I decided to make these dresses I promised myself I would not still be sewing up to the last minute.  But one thing after another kept happening and it kept taking longer and longer than I ever expected.
But I did finish just in time for Easter!  And the girls loved their dresses.
I let Ella pick out the pattern and the color.  Her favorite part of the dress is the split sleeves.
Easter Sunday was perhaps my favorite Sunday at Cahaba Park.  The glory of the Risen Lord was proclaimed throughout the entire service.  What a glorious Lord we serve!  Christ is Risen!
Once the kids were out of their new Easter clothes, the Easter egg hunt began.
Each egg was closely inspected because over half the eggs did not have candy.  I have looked and looked and just cannot find where I hid the Easter candy!
True colors came out.  The desire to have the most eggs in their basket regardless of what was inside the egg, drove the Lee kids to run from one hiding spot to the next.
A great time was had by all!

Happy Easter
