6 Weeks Old

6 weeks goes fast! Sara Wells was 6 weeks old Tuesday. I cannot believe how fast she is growing. Look at the rolls on her legs in the bathtub!

Inspiration

As many of you know, I love to sew! Who knows what that is going to look like now that Sara Wells is here, but I still have a project or two going and at least 10 in my head. The problem is I do not have a creative bone in my body, so I have to get my inspiration from other places. I have found so many great blogs with extremely creative people! I cannot come up with my own ideas so I have to borrow them from others. I would love to share my projects here, but I am just lucky if I finish one! So, instead of sharing things I have done, I though I would share some of the sites that I love and have gotten so many ideas from.

Ruffles and Stuff
Made (on this site, the entire month is dedicated to boys, she has some really cute ideas for boys, which is hard to come up with!)
Fly Through Our Window
Lil Blue Boo
Olabelhe

These are just a few that I like to look at and get "inspired" from.

One of my biggest accomplishments before Sara Wells was born was Ella's Christmas present. I was having the hardest time thinking of some to get Ella for Christmas that she would just love because she does not play with toys. I saw these dolls some time ago and immediately thought of Ella. I did not know how much Ella would "love" them, but she always loves things that I make for her so I thought it was worth a shot.

When she opened them I got all the reaction I needed to make my effort worth it. She said "Oh mommy, did you make these? They are beautiful!" Melted my heart! Honestly though, Miller loves them more than Ella. He sleeps with the Archie doll every night. You can get the Olive and Archie dolls HERE

The Small Things

Why a picture of our bed? Today is the first day since Sara Wells was born that I have made our bed! It only took 5 weeks! When the rest of the house is turned upside down and everything just seems crazy, if my bed is made I just feel a little bit better. We stayed home all day today, which means that the house is an absolute wreck, but every time I walked into my room I could take a deep relaxing breath because at least my bed was made. I am not making any promises that it will happen again tomorrow or even next week, but it made me smile today.

Because I cannot do a post without a picture of the kids. Who knows why Miller chose this position to color, but we thought it was hilarious!

We Survived the First Month

It is hard to believe that little Sara Wells is already one month old! As you can tell she is quickly getting her Lee Cheeks. The first month has definitely gone by the fastest with her. It seems like I was just in the hospital with her about a week ago.

One Month Old

Here is how Ella and Miller are passing the time. I am ready for sunny days to go outside and play!

*Note: It may look like I take all my pictures on the same day because Ella is always wearing the same thing. But no, Ella just wears the same thing every day. We usually start out the day in real clothes, but it only takes about 15 minutes of being home to change into this bathing suit. Aunt Becky if you read this, clearly this was the best birthday present ever. I think Ella has had it on more than she has not had it on since you gave it to her!
