Easter Egg Cookies

It's that time of year again...

To add green food coloring 

and easter M&M's to your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe

to make these cute

and yummy Easter Egg cookies.

I did not think we were going to get a chance to make these cookies this year, but somehow this sweet little girl is turning SIX tomorrow.  We (Ella and I) decided these would be the perfect treat to take to her class tomorrow to celebrate her big birthday.

I just wanted to remind you, before it is too late about these Resurrection Cookies.  This has been one of the best things for my children in giving them a glimpse of what Jesus went through on the cross.  Each ingredient in the recipe teaches a part of the crucifixion. Ella and Miller still talk about the vinegar that Jesus drank on the cross almost every time they go to the grocery store with me and we pass the vinegar.  Remember these cookies stay in the oven over night, so you have to be prepared the day before Easter.  This is a tradition in our family that I would highly recommend to try with yours!
