Change of Plans

Miller's had his birthday party yesterday.
Let me tell you a little bit about Miller.
He is a lot like his Mama, he does not do well with change.
Every since Miller turned 2 years old, he has started planning his birthday party
for the next year the day after his birthday party.
Last year, Miller had a transformer climbing birthday party at Moss Rock Preserve.
It was awesome!  So much fun and perfect for Miller!
And true to form, the next day he started planning his party for the next year.
All year long, Miller has been planning for his birthday party to be at Chuck-E-Cheese.  I had even somehow convinced Miller and Sara Wells that they wanted to have their birthday party together.
But then, about a month before his birthday day, Miller changed his mind.  I think it was just too much change.  He told me he wanted his birthday party to be EXACTLY the same as last year.  Climbing, peppermint popcorn, chocolate cupcakes with black and red swirled icing and transformers for his friends.
Last year was the easiest birthday party ever and so much fun!  Since we were actually climbing boulders, the rule was only 3 friends.  Lots of little boys running around climbing boulders is more than I can handle.
So, that was the plan for this year...

Until the rain set in and did not leave all week :(

So, plan B...
Yes, that is right, McDonalds!
For the longest time I had convinced the kids that McDonald's was "disgusting."  Every time we passed a McDonld's they would all say, "Yuck!  McDonald's is disgusting."  But somehow Miller realized that he really does love "Old McDonald's."

It is his very favorite place.

It is the one place that he thought was even cooler than the Climbing Place to have his birthday party.
His friends' moms may not have been too pleased with me, but Miller thought I was the coolest mom ever and that he had the best birthday party ever!!!!

3 ????

Somehow our Little Bit turned 3 on Saturday!
In true Lee fashion, we started her Birthday Month Celebration January 1.
When your birthday is on the 5th of the month, you don't get quite the
build up as when it is on the 31st of the month (like Miller).
It did not seem to bother Sara Wells too much.
She enjoyed all of the special attention she got all day long!
How to describe Sara Wells?
Sara Wells is full of life!
She loves her brother and sister
and wants to be just like them!
Demands to pick out her own clothes.
Is so lovey (hints the reason one of her many nicknames is Lovie)
and cuddly.
Is very funny.
Tends to be a little strong willed...
But will crawl up in your lap at any moment.
Oh Wellsy Bug,
 you have our hearts!

 Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Girl!

Happy Birthday Miller

New Year's Eve is always a special day in the Lee House.
Not only is it the last day of the year, but it is also Miller's Birthday!!!!
However, anyone who knows the Lee's very well, knows that no one in the Lee Family
celebrates just their Birthday.  How boring is that?!
 We celebrate the entire month!
And nobody loves it more than Miller!

When we bought all of Miller's birthday supplies he found this #5 candle and it managed to make its way into every meal over Miller's "birthday weekend" of course with a loud chorus of "Happy Birthday."
What a spunk for life this little boy has!
Miller, you are the sweetest little boy we know!
We love to celebrate you all month long!
Miller chose shrimp and macaroni and cheese for his birthday dinner

I tried to convince Miller to just stay 4 forever,
but he would have none of it.
 Miller, we love you!!!!!

Happy Birthday Miller!!!!!

Welcome Home!

I took a little unexpected Christmas Break from blogging.  We traveled to Knoxville for Christmas and then straight to the lake for New Years.  We had a wonderful week!!!!  Unfortunately I hardly took any pictures :(  With all of the fun with cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles, I just got so caught up and left the camera in the car most of the week.   I did not even get a picture of my family.  This was the first time in probably 6 years that all of my side of the family has been together and nobody got one picture!

The best present of the year:
my Mom getting release on Christmas morning!!!!
We were all shocked when we walked in the door and it looked like my mom walked straight out of a catalog not out of a rehab facility!

Unfortunately Sara Wells and Miller were on the tail end of a cold, so Granna had to wear a mask the whole week.  Of course the kids thought it was so cool and loved wearing a mask like Granna.  I don't think my mom thought it was as cool as the kids did, but she was just so thrilled to be home the mask was ok.

Hope you all had a great Christmas.

Happy 2013!
